At Mia Rose Holdings, we believe in causes that matter deeply to our community. That’s why we were honored to sponsor and participate in the 22 Strong Walk, an annual event in St. Charles County dedicated to raising awareness and support for U.S. Military veterans.
The name 22 Strong comes from a heartbreaking statistic: every single day, an
estimated 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide. Behind that number are mothers and
fathers, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors who bravely served our nation but
now face struggles that too often go unseen. Recognizing this crisis, the organization
behind the walk, Building Change, has a mission bigger than miles: eliminating veteran suicide.
Building Change has been leading this effort for seven years, donating over $300,000 to organizations that directly impact veterans’ lives. This year’s proceeds benefit seven
outstanding organizations:
● FOCUS Marines Foundation
● Dogs For Our Brave
● Got Your Six PTSD Support Dogs
● Joshua Chamberlain Society
● Re-Emerge
● Mid America Veterans Museum
● Dogs on Duty
Each of these groups provides important services—from PTSD support and companion dogs to direct aid for veterans and their families.
Several members of the Mia Rose Holdings team proudly took on the full 22-mile
challenge, finishing strong alongside fellow supporters, veterans, and their families. For us, this was more than a walk– it was a chance to remember that meaningful impact often comes when we push ourselves to do difficult things.
Events like 22 Strong remind us that when communities rally together, change is
possible. Mia Rose Holdings is grateful to play a part in this mission, and we look
forward to continuing to support initiatives that bring hope, healing and strength to those who have given so much.
