Tom Kaiman honored with community development award

Mia Rose’s president, Tom Kaiman, was one of four business leaders who were honored with the 36th annual Progress 64 West Excellence in Community Development Award — Champions in Action. Tom was selected for his dedication to community-focused projects in St Louis.

“Tom Kaiman was honored for his enhancement of community development through strategic real estate partnerships. Kaiman is the founder of Mia Rose Holdings and, as a former professional hockey player, his first project was the St. Louis Blues Practice Facility. His dedication to community-focused projects have positioned him as a significant force in shaping the future of St. Louis.”

Mia Rose Holdings was one of the sponsors of this year’s scholarship Progress 64 Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund. Five scholarships totaling $25,000 were awarded to area high school seniors during the awards banquet. The fund was founded in 2023 by Progress 64 West and YouthBridge Community Foundation of Greater St. Louis to help high school seniors achieve their educational goals. Students are required to submit a business plan executive summary that includes details of their business concept; market analysis, profit and marketing strategies and an operations plan.

“The overarching goal of the P64 Entrepreneurial Scholarships is to encourage future ‘champions in action’ and support the young entrepreneurs who will be the leaders of tomorrow.”

The other award winners were:

Robert O’Loughlin — for being “a driving force in promoting St. Louis as a premier convention and tourism destination” in his leadership roles with St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.

Dr. Keith Marty — for his “leadership as the superintendent of the Parkway School District since 2011.”

Keith Schneider — for being “a champion in action for the St. Charles and St. Louis region, driven by decades of success in commercial real estate and civic leadership.
